This is the rare original 1960 first pressing of Miles Davis' Workin' LP on Prestige PRLP-7166. Features John Coltrane, with Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. One of Miles' truly classic albums, just an incredible recording. Original Bergenfield address, with Rudy Van Gelder's initials in the runoff. The disc has quite a few scuffs and superficial marks but it actually plays way better than you would expect. I would say it plays VG++, with only a touch of light crackle to be heard in a few places. Really a beautiful playing copy, despite the marks. The cover is quite beautiful, with only slightly rubbed corners at the lower right and upper left and right, but no seam splits and a perfectly intact and fully readable spine. The edges are crisp and clean and the image and information I'm unblemished. Slight discoloration on the back, and a small spot, but overall this is a beautiful cover. Not a perfect copy but a beautiful playing one, with a lovely cover. A keeper.
