Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. 1st SATIN WHALE is decidedly better than many similar KRAUTROCK, PROG & PSYCH rarities valued at much higher $$$ figures... and so it goes. .................................................................................. DOUBLE TRACKED GUITARS, GUSHING ORGAN, front & center battle in call & answer among tight complex passages with memorable melodies throughout. .................................................................................. Overseas "DESERT PLACES" has long been a three $$$ figure sought collectible.

and the FAN-MAN expresses further: Satin Whale's Desert Places is a fantastic heavy-prog Krautrock jammer, performing a mix of blues, hard rock and slight jazz, tempered by a stunning (STUNNING!) guitars, swirling organ and hard driven bass and drums. You will find influences by British and American hard rock bands from the early 70's, yet their self penned tracks reveals their own style, "ELECTRIC SANDWICH", SPERMULL etc. All tracks are extremely energetic and well played, pulling off nice complex moves. Not a bad track to these ears: "Seasons of life/ Remember" are the highlights of this imaginative hard-psych creation from no less than near 50 years ago!
