Gil Melle on Prestige 7040
This is the original deep groove RVG-etched pressing of Gil Melle “Primitive Modern” on the West 50th St. labels of Prestige PRLP 7040. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a nice luster; a single inaudible mark on the last track of Side A. The laminated West 50th St. cover has a ding and wear at the top left corner; the spine has 6” of light cracking (no split) at the top; the bottom seam has ½” wear at the spine and 1” wear at the opening; ½” lamination flake at the lower right corner. Personnel include Joe Cinderella, Billy Phillips, and Ed Thigpen. $100.00
