**  I'm not sure how to be more clear in my gradings. EX is my highest grade I will ever give for an open record. EX grading means it looks like it came out of the sleeve for the first time...VG++ is closely behind.  These two gradings = pristine records.

Grading scale:  NM/EX/VG++/VG+/VG/VG-/G.  We use a grading system based on the Goldmine Grading Guide to rate the records we sell. All open records are professionally cleaned and we play grade all our records on quality equipment and make every effort to grade all media/sleeves accurately. LP LOTS are cleaned and visually graded. We offer a money back guarantee that condition is as described.  I have summarized it below.

Near Mint (NM) – SEALED (I don't grade anything NM unless it's a sealed record)
Excellent (EX) - Cover has only minor signs of wear. Reserved for records that look like they came out of the sleeve for the first time or close to it.
Very Good ++ (VG++) - As close to perfect condition as you can get. The lightest scuff and/or discoloration to vinyl will automatically get a VG++ grade.
Very Good + (VG+) - A couple light scratches and scuffs, but the listening experience is still very nice. An occasional light pop or crackle may occur. Cover may have a defect or two (a cutout, for instance) but is otherwise very nice. Right in the middle of the grading graph. A perfect acceptable, nice copy.
Very Good (VG) - Scratches/scuffs are more prominent, so surface noise is more frequent. Cover has many signs of human handling. These are decent and NOT beater records.
Very Good - (VG-) Scratches/scuffs are even more prominent, so surface noise is more frequent. Cover has many signs of human handling. Will have issues - splits, heavy wear. Records will be priced accordingly. Bad shape but maybe not to the point of just tossing out.
Good (G)- Plays without skipping, but has significant surface noise.  Cover imperfections are distracting. In rough shape. Generally, will only use this grade if it's a desirable record and it will be priced accordingly. Cheaper records will generally get tossed before ever using this grade.
