This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Hank Mobley “And His All Stars” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1544. The flat rim playing surface is in excellent condition with a beautiful luster and an unworn spindle hole; however, there is a lightly audible needle drop near the beginning of the second track on Side 1 as well as occasional non-repetitive light tics throughout. The original coated West 63rd St. cover is in exceptional near-new condition – bright, clean, and immaculate throughout – with just 1/8” wear on the bottom seam, at the opening, and two creases on the right edge of the back slick. $750.00
