Absolutely gorgeous original copy of the classic Getz/Gilberto LP on Verve mono V-8545. This was the album that introduced the world to Astrud Gilberto and The Girl from Ipanema. Original laminated cover with the early Verve inner sleeve. This copy is simply gorgeous inside and out. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. You won’t even believe how beautifully this copy plays. The music on this record is quite quiet, so it really makes a big difference to have such a clean copy. No noise at all, not even the slightest crackle between songs. The cover is also unusually clean, with only the faintest ringwear, barely, and a bit of corner wear, mainly at the lower left, and a bit of seam wear at the top center where the disc touches the edge. Not bad. Otherwise just slight signs of gentle use. Most original copies are way more worn than this with open seam splits and worse. This is truly a top, top original copy, very hard to beat.
