Vintage jazz lp: MILES DAVIS – Nefertiti – AN ODD VARIANT – though the jacket and labels say stereo, this 1977 repress was issued during a transitional time at the label and is actually in MONO; before this the only mono version was the original promo, of which the matrix numbers match this one. Columbia PC 9594; stamped matrix numbers are “XLP 135234 1D o/XLP 135235 1B o” followed by an etched “1 T X” and stamped “1A” or “A1” on each side; sticker with the PC number is attached at top of spine; released in 1977.

Condition is VG++/VG+: vinyl is glossy and really nice except for the first half-inch of side 1 which has an area of multiple minor and moderate scuffs, and one mark in the second track – some of these I can barely feel and they do cause soft background for that portion of the disc, otherwise sounds EX; jacket has moderate ringwear, minor rubbing to extremities, no splits, very clean back cover.
