It is widely accepted that "Pinky" is the most rare unofficial pink floyd release available (if you can find one!!). This was released as a very limited edition of just 50 copies. However, the same plates were used to cut another batch of pressings. These were released in very limited numbers under 3 different titles. BIG PINK (UNTITLED) EMBRYO (LIVE IN GERMANY) ROTTERDAM 70.
The copy for sale here is BIG PINK (UNTITLED). Floydboots rates this as the rarest and gets a 5***** rarity rating.
Released in a plain white card cover. The matrices are hand etched and read..... Side 1.   DJ3003A Side 2    DJ3003B
It cannot be stated just how rare this pressing is. Not quite "Pinky", but almost!
The vinyl is in outstanding unmarked condition. The labels have light spindle marking. The plain white cover is strong, age discoloured as it should be, and marked "pink floyd bootleg". The inner sleeve is also age discoloured but solid.
I have only ever seen 2 copies of "Pinky" come up for sale in all the years since it was pressed. This is a special chance to own a very rare pressing.
FLOYDBOOTS grades the sound quality as "good". I cannot disagree, but the owning of this album is more about the rarity, rather than the sound quality. Not pressed on virgin vinyl certainly, but a heavyweight vinyl for sure. It plays with some pops and spots of static/crackle, but very intermittent and isolated. NO sticks NO skips. If I had to accurately describe the sound quality, I would say that it is like sitting in the next room (with flimsy walls) to where the concert was taking place. I feel I can really add no more comments that actually matter. This one is about ownership.
