Opened but unplayed (well, I just played part of it once to be sure it played perfectly) copy of the Original Jazz Classics series pressing of Sonny Rollins’ Freedom Suite LP on Fantasy/Riverside OJC-067. This was the first dramatically extended jazz solo on record, and set the tone for the free jazz era and Coltrane’s massive exportations a few years later, as well as influencing the psychedelic rock scene. The disc is mint and plays flawlessly. The cover is likewise nearly mint, with only tiny signs of age. This is a truly top copy. Near impossible to beat.
