This is the Van Gelder-stamped stereo pressing of John Coltrane “Plays” on Impulse AS-85. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a beautiful luster; however, there is a pressing blister on the second track of Side 2 that makes four tics. The laminated gatefold cover is in excellent condition – bright, clean, and immaculate throughout – with sharp corner and unworn seams; ¼” bump at the lower left corner; age toning around the edges of the centerfold. Original Impulse inner sleeve is included. Personnel include McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, Art Davis, and Elvin Jones. $100.00.
