Absolutely lovely copy of the rare 1955 first LP pressing of the classic of all classic Christmas albums ever, Bing Crosby’s Merry Christmas on Decca mono LP DL-8128. This is the true original version with the Decca “Star” label and the picture of Bing in a Santa hat on the back. All his classic Christmas songs are here including White Christmas and his wonderful duets with the Andrews Sisters. This copy is quite lovely and plays absolutely beautifully with barely the slightest background crackle at all. Maybe just a tiny tiny bit between some songs, but really it plays very near perfectly. I call it VG because it does have visible scuffs, though they are all superficial and really don’t affect the sound. No real scratches or digs or any serious damage. Just scuffing from the sleeve and from handling. The cover has a 4” seam split at the top and a 1.5” tear on the right edge near the bottom. Neither is terribly problematic. Aside from that it only has light signs of gentle use and age. Really a beautiful copy. Hard to find in good condition!
