Description About This Items Haruomi Hosono, Shigeru Suzuki, and Tatsuro Yamashita contributed new compositions based on the theme of the beautiful seas of the South Pacific in this first release of the Sound Image Series. Haruomi Hosono performed two songs with a tropical feel, as well as the original “Cosmic Surfing” from YMO's debut album “Yellow Magic Orchestra” for the first time on this album. Tatsuro Yamashita presented a floating crossover sound with “Nostalgia of Islands” and “Kiska,” a medley of pop instrumentals that blended surfing siesta music and oldies-style choruses. Shigeru Suzuki offers three tropical funky instrumentals. Other members include Tateo Hayashi, Shuichi Murakami, Kenji Takamizu, Shigetoya Hamaguchi, Nobu Saito, Jun Sato, Kenji Omura, Hirofumi Tokutake, and Hidefumi Toki. Cover photo by Shinpei Asai.
