Finally, this week's auction marks the end of my break-in collection and hopefully if you collect these you've found something that you needed.
Here is one of the rarest break-ins I've collected and it's not going to be cheap. The record and sleeve are rare by themselves, and they do show up from time to time, but the newspaper is the holy grail of this release. The words on the newspaper are just nothing but gibberish, but the pictures of the group are really nice. All the songs on this record are from the group and it's a one sided 45 from 1961.
Vinyl is a really nice and clean VG+. Picture sleeve is a VG with a slight record impression in the really light paper. Seams are solid. The newspaper page is a VG with slight bends on the corners. The size is 8 1/2 x 14 and is folded over twice to 4 1/4 x 7.
I record the songs using an Audio Technica VM 540 ML needle through a McIntosh C24 preamp. You can hear the song from beginning to needle lift with NO editing of the MP3.
I'm starting to sell off my 45 year personal collection that consists of all types of novelty records like, Halloween, Christmas, Beatle novelty, Elvis novelty, Break-in, Answer, Trucker and Chipmunk sounds.
WAIT FOR INVOICE AND I WILL COMBINE SHIPPING.
US POSTAGE is $4.75 for USPS Ground Advantage mail up to 3 records then $6.50 for 4 to 6 records. This has up to $100.00 insurance on each package. Canada and International POSTAGE is $17.00 for up to 3 records and $20.00 for 4 to 6 records. I will try to use USPS first class shipping with the new tariff chart that I have to fill out. If that doesn't work out, it will be back to eBay shipping. Postal rates just keep going up.
