THE VINYL:   VERY GOOD

HAS A MANY HAIRLINES AND A FEW SCUFFS / SCRATCHES. IT PLAYS WELL WITHOUT SKIPS OR STICKS. SOME VERY SOFT HISSING/CRACKLES BETWEEN SOME TRACKS BUT NOT NOTICEABLE WHEN THE MUSIC STARTS,  NO WRITING ON THE CLEAN LABELS. HAS SOME SPINDLE MARKS, BUT NO SPINDLE WEAR. NO LABEL MARKS, NO WRITING OR LABEL SCRATCHES.

 THE SLEEVE:   GOOD+

NO SERIOUS DAMAGE ANYWHERE BUT IT HAS SUFFERED FROM HANDLING AND SCRATCHES. CREASING AND THUMB CREASES TO THE LAMINATED FRONT. THERE IS ALSO A LONG SCRATCH TO THE LAMINATE TOWARDS THE FRONT BOTTOM (see photos). SOME EDGE WEAR AND CORNER WEAR SPINE IS SLIGHTLY CRACKED IN PLACES BUT IS COMPLETELY READABLE. THE REAR IS SLIGHTLY GRUBBY WITH SOME STAINING AND AGEING. NO WRITING, NO SELLOTAPE, SPLITS OR TEARS. 

INNER SLEEVE:   VERY GOOD+

Poly-lined inner sleeve has some creasing and ageing but no real marks other thank ageing stains. No splits, no edge wear or corner wear. No staining, no writing. No sellotape. Not the original inner.

Grading System:  I have used Record Collector magazine set of standards for the condition of second-hand records. I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.

I grade all records in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide (see above). However, if you feel I have graded your record incorrectly please email me ASAP so we can resolve the problem amicably.

RECORD COLLECTOR Grading System

MINT:   The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.  (NOTE: As far as I am concerned, MINT will never apply to second hand vinyl records).

EXCELLENT:   The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:   The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:   The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR:   The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:   The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD:   The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

Post & Packaging - I recycle all packaging so you will get your goods in recycled packaging / cardboard container. All items over £20 are insured and sent 'Signed For' or ‘Tracked 48’ and I always obtain a 'Certificate of Posting' for cheaper items. All items are securely and properly packaged and vinyl is sent using double corrugated cardboard stiffeners.
