Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. HIGHLY SOUGHT MEGA-RARE 1969 ORIGINAL UNIVERSAL PSYCHEDELIC ROCK ARTIFACT
..|/\|...............................................|/\|..
~ THE SPEAKERS ~ The Speakers in the Wonderful World of Ingestion THE SPEAKERS
..|/\|...............................................|/\|.. Mexico - Polydor Records  - 1705-703 (STEREO) One of the most brilliantly whacked-out psych LPs  to emerge from the South American (1969) sixties. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Prized artifact when realizing the immense rarity of such sought item in ANY condition, this original pressing about as solid as one can ever find, to hope for: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mirroring the over-the-top lavish recording, the cover itself is vibrantly deluxe, laminated colorful gatefold with 12 pages of group photos and images \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ After four brilliant years on the national rock scene, the Bogotá Colombia group THE SPEAKERS disbanded at the end of 1968. Before the final goodbye, Humberto Monroy and Rodrigo García –two of its original members who at that time still enthusiastically supported the project- welcomed the Italian drummer Roberto Fiorilli and the guitarist Oscar Lasprilla, who came from another legendary band: The Time Machine.
Together they recorded their acknowledged masterpiece as  ‘The Speakers "
In The wonderful World Of Ingestion" the fifth album in the SPEAKERS illustrious underground rock history, and stand back: This is an unusual recording –all the songs are original 1968 creativeness within a universal psychedelic-rock format 56 years onward ranking in the top level of
acid- rock rarities ever pressed on vinyl.
Although it went unnoticed upon release, over time the recording became a reference of Latin American psychedelia and one of the most difficult albums to find in original edition. More than half a century later has become an investment item elevating far from the status of a cult-only record.
Astonished, their record producer exclaimed: "This new Los Speakers album is the result of allowing the talented guys the free use of a recording studio. They show their imagination, not only with a dozen songs composed by themselves, but making the most of the sound resources that a modern studio allows. From this point of view the disc certainly makes the most of these resources and will therefore be of interest to those interested in such an audio phenomenon. But the musical is equally interesting, as the songs have imaginative melodies; the lyrics, although not apart from protests today quite common, have poetry and the instrumentation, which in addition to the conceived dominated electric guitars weaving within harpsichord and sweet flute to modern winds, all varied and of great color. As witnessed the birth and development of this record one can only give credence to the incredible amount of time and effort that went into such a creation. The most important thing is that the effort has crystallized into a recording that is quite unique provoking love if not reaction, yet will not leave anyone indifferent via among the inventive rock format which includes: reverse tapes, emulation of echoes through physical loops made with tape, Moog synthesizers processing voices, tapes played back at twice the speed and the extended use of fuzzed-out guitars.
For the recording and mixing of 'The Wonderful World of Ingestion', The Speakers had state-of-the-art equipment on hand: a 40-channel Langevin console, a 24-track Ampex recorder, Neumann microphones, AKG condensers, Westrex amplifiers and JBL monitors. According to member Fiorilli, the instruments were the same as their previous album: Falcon Gretsch and Stratocaster guitars, a Gibson EB-3 bass and a Hollywood drum set. In turn, they incorporated a large number of minor percussion, flutes and wind instruments, thoroughly cataloged in the credits of the original album. Then there are the injecting in normally silence between songs, with brief sound intervals that include among others, the rumble of a train rolling up to a passerby, the explosion of a bomb to parody  incidental music they composed in 1968 from the soap opera 'Almost a Stranger '. Due to absolute extinction obsessed collectors have paid small fortunes for an original pressing in any playable condition... The LP opens with a wandering soul whistling aimlessly until the sound of a train nearly runs our hero over. Then it gets really weird! “Por La Mañana” drifts along like a Renaissance madrigal full of medieval woodwind instruments and “Ode To Mediocre People” encourages listeners to break out of their humdrum lives and “open your minds to dreams, free yourselves, and look to the future.”
The about-faces continue with the screaming
fuzz guitars of “There Is A Stranger
Waiting At The Door”, The UK derived toy-town pop of ,
“If War Is A Good Business, Invest Your Children In It”,
and assorted percussion-fill sing-alongs full of marimbas, maracas, oboes,
flutes, clarinets, etc. One might swear these loonies
were swallowing acid like breath mints and listening nonstop to freak-out music!
Continuing, “The Story of A Lotus Which Bloomed In Autumn“ opens with a flushing toilet and then introduces a blistering blues guitar solo behind helium-induced Martian voices relating a tale of a blossoming lotus. It all ends with “I love you” translated into a half-dozen languages and recited by someone who sounds like he’s trying to belch the alphabet…backwards. A laughing gnome is looped (musically
speaking!) at the beginning of “CHILDREN”, which then morphs into a lovely little harpsichord-driven pop ditty… until another screaming fuzz solo breaks up the festivities. These guys certainly don’t have any patience for complacent listeners, as tracks change directions half a dozen times on their way to their codas, which sometimes feels like the musicians just got tired of playing the song and wanted to start another one! Song interludes include burps, squealing cats, insane laughter, trains, a drunken cocktail party like something out of
Zappa’s “America Drinks And Goes Home”… it’s a virtual DeWolfe library
on acid.
Finally the whole thing ends with an atomic bomb exploding on Bikini atoll. Columbia? In 1968 ?!?!
The LP is insanely brilliant, completely hummable, ferociously
naïve, politically subversive, and belongs in the record collections of anyone who has any psychedelic rock and freak-beat 60's albums.
The gatefold over features 12 photo pages woven within
of rare SPEAKERS photos (including the band running through the forest naked)
… what else?

Psalm 20th Century, Era Of Destruction                  CONDITION: The cover: rated: near M- outstanding given improbable facts to find clean. Lavish laminated gatefold taken care of, only light signs of use. Upgrade keeper despite tiny delete drill at bottom right, no split seams, no bends, and no writing  + rich original colors, no fading anywhere
The vinyl: Rated: improbable near EX (excellent) and better. Both sides are visually CLEAN ! visual only, a couple or so top surface finger nail type wispy scuffs... the entire sides play delightfully enjoyable, long time good luck ever finding better... both stereo Polydor labels are clean but sadly considering otherwise clean has 4 letters written on A&B labels, no writing anywhere else on cover or disc.
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
