This is the original deep groove RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Lou Donaldson “Lou Takes Off” on the West 63rd labels of Blue Note BLP 1591. The playing surface is in excellent condition, with a beautiful luster; a small mark on the first track of Side 2 creates six light tics. The laminated West 63rd cover is also in excellent condition – bright and clean throughout – with light foxing at the top of the back slick; ¼” and 1/8” chips on the bottom seam; three sharp corners; slight wear at the bottom right corner.
