For sale here is a super copy of Pink Floyds iconic "Dark side of the moon" album.
Comes with all the attributes of an original first UK pressing.
Blue tinted gatefold cover.
Solid blue triangle on the labels.
Matrices are A2 and B2. (2 / LM  &  2 / PL).
Black poly lined inner sleeve.
Both posters.
Both postcard/stickers.

This is a quite lovely example of this iconic and highly collectable album and has remarkable early mother and stamper combinations.
What is very unusual to find, is a copy with the vinyl in exceptional condition like this one. The only real signs of it being played is the odd light spindle mark to the labels.  No marks on the vinyl worthy of note.
I will give a detailed description of each part below.

Also included in the sale is a coaster depicting the album artwork, plus a peel off sticker of the iconic blue triangle labels. Also mint. Also, a mint sealed DVD which displays archive footage previously unreleased. Details in photos. Finally, a genuine programme from the 1973 charity concerts at Earls Court which is still in great shape.

The cover:
Original and genuine blue tint to the cover. Very different to the black covers of later issues. This is a lovely example of this often damaged original cover. There are 2 tiny dots of shelf-wear to the bottom edge, spine perfect, top edge almost so. Very little if any general wear and a lack of disc impression. A really beautiful and solid example.
I grade this cover as excellent.

Inner sleeve:
Really nice example of the black poly-lined inner. No splits, tears or damage. Just some very light creasing that is minimal considering its age. Correct grey printed cat numbers and made in Great Britain present of course.
I grade the inner sleeve as excellent.

Posters:
Both posters are present. Both are in great condition, and look as if they have never been opened. No pin holes. No blue tack. No splits, rips, tears or issues.
I grade both posters as excellent.

Postcard/stickers:
Both postcards are present. Both unused. No pin holes, sticky tape, blue tack. There are no issues at all with either. These are not creased as so many are from being caught in the cover hinge.  Both cards have "Fasprint permanent" on the reverse with 45 degree brown lines indicating where to peel of the backing. A great pair of cards.
I grade these as excellent.

The labels:
The iconic solid blue prism labels are in good shape. There are some light spindle trails to both sides when viewed at an angle in good lighting.
No rips or stains. To be safe because of the spindle marks.....
I grade the labels as VG+.

The vinyl:
Really the vinyl is the cream of this copy. Visually I can see NO marks of note of any kind aside of a couple of wispy sleeve removal hairlines. The vinyl has a wonderful depth of shine and a gorgeous black lustre. I have been lucky enough to own several of the first pressings over many years of collecting, but rarely have I seen one as clean as this. I seriously can find no faults worthy of mention.
As this is a visual appraisal,   I grade as a solid excellent plus.

PLAY-GRADING:-
The audio on this copy is fantastic. It is extremely close to being without fault. I made the following comments in my play-grade notebook:-
As always on side one, there is some very light background into the heartbeats. Track 2 has a single "dust pop" part way through (these almost always clean out or play out). Track 3 has a single "dust pop" at the end. Tracks 4 and 5 play without issue.
Side two has no issues whatsoever. Plays with almost no surface noise at all. To find a copy as good as this is mighty rare. The fact it has such low mothers and stampers is a huge bonus.
The sound throughout is dynamic and vibrant. Clarity and detail are sensational.
This is an incredible sounding album and would grace any collection.

As a complete and original first UK pressing with the A2 and B2 matrix numbers, low mothers and stampers, correct blue tinged cover, both posters and stickers, I really have to grade overall as at the very least excellent. Somebody is going to be very happy!!

The concert programme is in great shape. Has a light crease vertically down the middle (from being folded in a pocket). Grades near excellent.

The coaster and solid blue triangle logo sticker are brand new and mint.
The DVD is brand new, sealed and mint.

I will post overseas, although I have had issues in the past from both Russia and Mexico, so will not post to either. I have listed the price for UK postage only. If an overseas ebayer wants this, please be aware that it will be through Ebays "Global shipping programme" which pre-pays all customs fees and is fully insured. I DO NOT make anything on the postage. I charge the exact cost (often less) that I pay. I DO NOT charge for packing materials and I try to use recycled packing anyway. If the postage cost is less than my quoted figures, I will refund the excess as soon as I have the exact price.
I also dress all my albums in a brand new heavyweight plastic cover and a brand new anti-static inner sleeve.
All vinyl is packed outside of the cover and 2 stiffeners are used in transit.
I have sold many valuable vinyls over the years and am often credited with Fort Knox style packing.
Please bid with peace of mind that what you see is what you get.

If you have any questions, require extra photos, please just ask.
Album will be posted same day the payment is made if early enough, or at worst the next day.
