DEATH IN JUNE - 'The Snow Bunker Tapes' 2 x 10" - PICTURE DISCS (NER)
Info: ‘The Snow Bunker Tapes’ are the original guitar/Totenpop versions of the 13 songs that became the ‘Peaceful Snow’ album. They were created between December 2009 and July 2010 in Adelaide, Australia, and are the original works that were given to Miro Snejdr to transcribe onto his piano. They eventually became the ‘Peaceful Snow’ album, which was released in 2010. Although they are studio works, no track is as sonically “built” as most Death In June songs are. There are no samples, multi-tracked vocals, effects or even percussion, and studio editing has been kept to a minimum so you can hear talking between some tracks. Douglas P, in describing the material, said “To paraphrase one of Alan McGee’s favourite lines, ‘It’s pure (Toten) pop!’”. This picture disc edition is packaged in a deluxe glossy embossed gatefold cover and include a large two-sided color poster. Ltd x 500 copies.
Format: Picture Discs in gatefold sleeve
