The Strypes
4 Track Mind
EP
Virgin Records 3775142 LC00542 2014 7" 45 rpm (EU)
The ridiculously talented, ridiculously young, Irish rock band The Strypes have had a groundbreaking year in 2013. Their debut album ‘Snapshot’ reached #4 in the UK charts, they played their first string of major festival dates, supported Arctic Monkeys around the UK and Europe’s major stadiums as well as playing masses of their own UK shows throughout the year.
Their latest offering comes in the form of a new EP, titled ‘4 Track Mind’, released through Virgin EMI this week to coincide with the start of their biggest UK tour. Although the sound is still true to the hard-driving rhythm and blues gauntlet laid down by debut album ‘Snapshot’, the four new original tracks are bigger and more advanced than anything they’ve previously released. First single ‘Hard To Say No’ establishes McClorey’s writing at it’s most potent, with a driving adolescent hook, perfectly accompanying Farrelly’s thrilling vocal.

A Note About Shipping To The U.S.
We are located in Canada, but have registered ourselves on eBay.com instead of eBay.ca because it gives us significantly better global exposure. The problem with this is that eBay wants us to charge shipping appropriate to US, where media mail and other options make for fairly reasonable delivery costs. We tried it for a while but ended up losing money on shipping or having to cancel the orders because we couldn't afford to ship for those rates. To manage this we have set the US shipping to run a calculator based on an American location (we chose Plattsburgh as fairly close) and charging according to UPS pricing. This avoids the cancellation issue, but appears to the buyer to be a prohibitive shipping cost and misrepresents the shipping as being only expedited. If you give us your postal code we will see if we can offer a more reasonable option, but generally we can get a single 7" by air to most places in the continental US for $6, a couple bucks less for ground.
