The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test - var. (United Fan Club Society, Goteborg,
Sweden, Stellar Music Special, Series 1, Show 1, SMS001-1)  A record
from the San Francisco State College "Acid Test"
("whatever it is" Festival) of September 30, October 1, and October 2, 1966.
It is mostly Ken Babbs (?) talking in the college radio station's studio,
interspersed with a few seconds of what could be Garcia on guitar, as well as
parts of the Garcia, Kesey, et al interviews on NBC's "Tomorrow" show of May 7,
1981.  Released in 1986.

This live recording is from October 1st & 2nd, 1966 at San Francisco State College.

These recordings were made during the Acid Tests and are mostly comprised of zaniness with Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters and The Grateful Dead. It is fairly well recorded and is a great time capsule of psychedia history. There are not really any songs per se on this record, just some loose jams amongst the wackinesss. Each side starts with a brief recollection of that time by Jerry Garcia. If you are looking for songs or cool Dead jams, then this is not what you are looking for, but if you are interested in some of the other stuff that they don’t put on the ususal Grateful Dead releases, that’s what this is.
