STRAUSS / STRAUSS / BOSKOVSKY / VIENNA PHILHARMONIC - " VIENNA CARNIVAL ", The Decca Record Company Ltd (SXL 2163) Stereo, 1959.

Very rare, 1959, English 1st pressing Decca LP with the "ORIGINAL RECORDING BY" label text on a wideband, grooved label and front laminated flipback sleeve.

Pressed in England.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo).

CONDITION:

VINYL =  EX-  (No heavy scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only the lightest spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight the vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out some paper scuffs and some very faint hairline surface marks - although these are purely visual and during playback, these very slight cosmetic flaws don't correspond directly to any audible defects.
However despite it's fairly clean appearance, on playback there is some faint background surface noise audible in some quieter sections and the occasional light crackle as the record plays through. Definitely not severe enough to ruin the whole listening experience, but fair to point and so bidders can place there max bids bearing this in mind.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = V.G. (No rips, tears, defacing, etc. But... there are quite few light creases and a little bit of delamination arouns the edges. Most importantly though, this LP sleeve had old sellotape on all edges. I've removed it best I can, but there is some residue left - see photos for further clarification)

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.
