In Utero is a much more coherent, expressive album than Nevermind - the blues are darker, the guitars are grittier, the drums are more energetic, and the songwriting is more sincere. In Utero is the album Nevermind wishes it was. "Serve the Servants", "Heart-Shaped Box", "Pennyroyal Tea", and "Radio-Friendly Unit Shifter" are recommended listens.
