Up for grabs as yet another rarity is a strictly as is copy of Led Zeppelin's famed remaster box set from September 1990.  Released on the Atlantic label with catalog # 82144-1 and Direct Metal Mastered at Sterling Sound by George Marino after digital remixing by Jimmy Page himself, this 6 LP wonder includes never-before-available recordings of "Travelling Riverside Blues," "White Summer/Black Mountainside," and the tribute remix "Moby Dick/Bonzo's Montreaux" amidst 50 offer Zep favourites.

This is a copy I acquired recently and have done my best to clean/improve.  A friend helped me Spin Clean each record, but ever after this treatment we noticed prevalent surface distortion, indicating that a previous owner played this set without the care it deserved.  Please note carefully my description of the components of this set:

Most sides play G+, since there is background noise across the albums that can interfere with the listening experience at times.  The exceptions to this are both sides of record 1 (which rate VG, since the surface noise is there but not nearly as harsh/upfront) and record 3 (which rates F on side 1 due to a bad scratch that interrupts play at the start of "Gallows Pole," as pictured in photo number 6; other surface marks on this particular record that look bad are thankfully cosmetic and relatively inconsequential).  Probably the albums all got played repeatedly with a worn stylus. The box and innersleeves each rate VG.  The box lid is bowed in a bit on the front cover, such that it tends to want to "push out" a little, and the back lid has some noticeable edgewear.  The innersleeves have some splits along their bottom edges (including one that has invisible tape along its base) and are a bit crinkled in spots, but otherwise hold together fine. The booklet rates excellent.  I noticed one or two minor cosmetic flaws in the form of minor wear or handling marks, but nothing major.  All pictures and text look crisp.

For these reasons, consider this listing as a worthwhile collection filler that can best be enjoyed in an ambient environment rather than through close listening.  Shipping will be through Media Mail at a cost of $4.13.  Feel free to write to me with any questions, and happy bidding!

"Quality items at reasonable prices from an eccentric merchant!"

As a math teacher and long-time record buyer with a definite passion for both vocations, I am excited to continue to make available LPs I have collected over the last fourteen years but now need to winnow from my shelves.  The items I will be posting include quite a range of genres and interests – soundtracks, specialty records, and albums ranging from the typical mainstream to the unexpectedly weird.  Check back often to see what surprises I’ve got in store!

Please note my conditions of sale:

-I use Goldmine standards to rate my albums, and I seek to do so conservatively.  Items will often receive both a visual check and a playgrade, so that I can review the material one last time and also listen for any differences between audible quality and my visual perception of an album's surface.  If there are any potential flaws in an item, I will make sure you know about those upfront.  As a rule, I will not attempt to sell records that rate below VG for the total package (unless the item in question is rare or hard to come by).  Because I deal largely in used stock and will be thorough in explaining an item's condition, please note that all sales are "as is" and final – returns are not accepted.

-I ship through USPS services to destinations in the U.S. only. All records will be packed sturdily with quality outer cardboard, with records and innersleeves removed from jackets to avoid seam splits on used items.  Because of the demands of my work schedule, all shipping will go out twice a week, by Wednesday (if an album was purchased the previous weekend) and by Saturday (for all later purchases or payments).

-I will accept payments for items through PayPal only. If you win one or more of my auctions, please make sure items are paid for within 7 days of the listing's end.  Please note that I open failure-to-pay cases against those who do not pay or make any attempt to communicate with me within my stated timeframe.  Please do not bid or commit to buy if you don't intend to follow through with a payment.

-Shipping will be at cost to the buyer, through Media Mail.  I charge a starting fee of $3.17 for one album, then 50 cents per each additional LP in your order.

-I will always be willing to combine shipping on multiple wins/purchases.  Just make sure to request an invoice prior to completing your purchase.

-The bottom line: I will make every attempt to insure your satisfaction as my customer.  Let me know of any problems prior to posting negative or neutral feedback, as this will help me to refine my services and better serve my fellow record collectors out there.  Enjoy!
