Ronnie Gilbert "The Legend of Bessie Smith" LP (RCA 1591; mono). This rare 1958 LP by the Weavers member, which is not available on CD (to my knowledge), is an original pressing in VG++ to Mint- condition on the black labels, which are clean. Fellow Weavers member Fred Hellerman plays guitar and arranged the music on the LP. Backing Gilbert on the tribute LP to the late blues singer are Cootie Williams on trumpet, Bennie Morton on trombone and other jazz musicians. The cover, which has "special issue" stamped on the back in the upper right corner and a creased lower left corner, is otherwise clean and in VG++ condition.
