The 'queen of folk' was an accomplished live performer as this, the first of two In Concert albums proved. Accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, Baez brought her pure, virginal soprano to contrasting material. Her interpretations of Childe ballads 'Matty Groves' and 'The House Carpenter' are particularly moving, but an empathy with American folklore, including Woody Guthrie and the Carter Family, is equally apparent. Baez's reading of Malvina Reynolds' protest song, 'What Have They Done To The Rain', is especially arresting and inspired a later pop hit for the Searchers. This album helped take folk music out of the coffee-house circuit and into national consciousness.

3.      We like to use Canada Post Expedited Parcel Service as it provides both tracking and insurance.

4.      We will combine items upon request to save you money on the shipping! We ship internationally and will work with you to provide the best service for your needs.

We do not mark up our shipping or charge for packing. We include the Canada Post calculator for your convenience for Canada and The USA. We have encountered lengthy delays shipping items overseas at the surface rate. In some cases it has taken four months to reach some countries. Airmail takes 5 to 10 days and is highly recommended. It is usually about 19.00 Airmail to most overseas destinations for 2 LPs or  for 3 45 singles. After that the weight will exceed .5 kg. We will always combine shipping on multiple purchases! All our records are from our personal collection accumulated over the last 45 years. Most are in excellent to NM condition unless otherwise stated in the description.

The rates shown in the calculator are Canada Post rates. Shipping is extra and to be determined after the auction (you can combine purchases to save on postage and have a look at for an approximate postage rate). Auctions of over US$75 are subject to being shipped via registered mail with tracking - there is an extra cost for this. I am not responsible for unregistered items damaged or lost in the post. Purchasers have to contact me after the auction within 3 days with shipping address to calculate shipping to be added to the bid amount. We will not be responsible for items lost in the mail shipped overseas. Canada Post does not provide tracking capabilities for anything shipped internationally below the Traked packet rate. We usually ship within 24 hours of receiving payment.
