NEVER PLAYED - NO SPINDLE MARKS - PURCHASED AT THE LEGENDARY WAX TRAX RECORDS IN CHICAGO AND PUT AWAY TILL NOW. THIS RECORD WAS PURCHASED WITH NO OUTER BAG SO IT HAS BEEN KEPT IN A REGULAR CLEAR BAG FOR PROTECTION.

OUTER SLEEVE 3 PART FOLDOUT IS IN EXCELLENT CLEAN CONDITION - WHERE THE 45 SITS IN THE VELUM INNER SLEEVE , THIS HAS CAUSED THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE BACK COVER TO PUFF UP A LITTLE - THIS IS VERY COMMON WITH THIS ORIGINAL PACKAGING.
VERY LIGHT WEAR TO ALL EDGES - VERY LIGHT AGE SPOTTING

A limited edition of 1578 copies - this one is numbered 000598 . The 7" came inside a 3 page, color fold-out (see photos) , translation booklet with a text written by Jean-Pierre Turmel, a grim painting by Jean-Francois Jamoul and a photograph by Anton Corbijn.

Recorded at Cargo Studios, Manchester, October-November 1979 with producer Martin Hannett.

AUTHENTICITY: This copy has all the distinguishing characteristics of an original as described on the Joy Division Central website at .

Many Sordide Sentimental releases came in a clear plasic bag with the Sordide Sentimental logo. In 2009 Jean Pierre Turmel said "the first copies of the Joy Division single (maybe around the first 1000 were sold without a bag, and the last ones with a blank plastic bag (without any printing). We took this decision because we found this was a very fragile packaging. This is also true of the Throbbing Gristle "We Hate You" single. I dont remember exactly when the printed (with logo) appeared but it was post to the JD Single"
