Another from my personal collection!
Original 1967 1st UK Mono pressing of The Rolling Stones No2. Earliest possible -1A-1A Matrix Endings! Again for the
best possible audio quality on the planet the earliest stampers make all
the difference. This vinyl looks and sounds like it has barely ever been played in my opinion! Just try to find another copy like this! The vinyl's playing surface is very near mint
almost like new, No needle audio sounding marks or scratches, unbelievably rare for a 50 year old Rolling
Stones record like this! For me the most important aspect of collecting
vinyl is the audio quality. I played this three times at very loud volume
on a top system, importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge prior to
this listing. The audio sounds as good as it gets, almost as a new vinyl in my opinion.
It is clear and vibrant through out ! No Clicks, ticks or pops heard, absolutely beautiful throughout! Audio graded as
near as Very, very near Mint throughout! This is complete with the
original Decca poly lined record sleeve and the most sought after and rarest to find in this condition The original early issued cover with the corrected un-pasted over text at the rear. This
laminated front only cover is exceptional condition with minimal ware only! So rare to ever find in this condition and so sought after rarest vinyl with the earliest possible -1A -1A matrix endings both sides for the best audio quality!

Hear the complete album in the player below. Actual recording from the vinyl.
The Rolling Stones No. 2 is the second UK album by the Rolling Stones released in 1965 following the massive success of 1964's debut The Rolling Stones. Not surprisingly, The Rolling Stones No. 2 followed its predecessor's tendency to largely feature R&B covers. However, it does contain three compositions from the still-developing Mick Jagger/Keith Richards songwriting team. On Dutch and German pressings of the album, the title is listed as The Rolling Stones Vol. 2 on the front cover, although the back of the album cover lists the title as The Rolling Stones No. 2.
Using the cover shot for 12 X 5, the second US-released album in October 1964, The Rolling Stones No. 2's tracklisting would largely be emulated on the upcoming US release of The Rolling Stones, Now!.
While Eric Easton was co-credited as producer alongside Andrew Loog Oldham on The Rolling Stones' debut album, Oldham takes full production duties for The Rolling Stones No, 2, which was recorded sporadically in the UK and US during 1964.
A huge hit in the UK upon release, The Rolling Stones No. 2 spent 10 weeks at No. 1 in early 1965, becoming one of the year's biggest sellers in the UK.
According to Bill Wyman in his book Stone Alone: The Story of a Rock'N'Roll Band, John Lennon said of The Rolling Stones No. 2: "The album's great, but I don't like five-minute numbers."
Due to the preference towards the American albums, ABKCO Records overlooked both The Rolling Stones and The Rolling Stones No. 2 for CD release in 1986 and during its remastering series in 2002. Consequently, the album was out of print for many years and was thus widely bootlegged by collectors.
The Rolling Stones No. 2 was again made available to the public as part of a limited edition vinyl box set, titled "The Rolling Stones 1964–1969", in November 2010 and (by itself) digitally at the same time.

This original 47 year old vinyl, on initial inspection of the playing surface looks superb and lays perfectly flat on the turntable. This is free of any warping. Even in strong light I find it hard to even see a blemish on the playing surface at least no real audio sounding marks or scratches to mention,, No marks that would cause any loud clicks or pops during the audio that I heard! Any marks that there could possibly be would be light whispy sleeve removal scuff type only. (Please note this is the original thick , heavy and chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings almost looks like a new vinyl. Unbelievably rare like this!) The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping! Quite unbelievable to find on a Rolling Stones record after 50 years!
The Audio Quality
I have played this vinyl four times prior to listing, at very loud volume on a top system,, importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge! This 47 year old vinyl plays through as a new vinyl would in my opinion! One of the best sounding copies that I have ever heard of this variation, all hand claps were prominent and a controlled audio feel only heard like this on these earliest matrix variations! The audio is absolutely beautiful, crystal clear and very vibrant with that deep bassey feel , only found like this on these earliest originals! I heard (no) loud clicks or pops and amazingly no real surface or background static during the audio and importantly no distortion or signs that this has been overplayed at all! There are Certainly no skips or jumps! Even in between tracks this is lovely, quite unbelievable to find like this after 47 years! ,, without the usual background surface noise that is so often heard on these early pressings. I would grade the audio near mint throughout!
An audiophile Audio archive copy never need to upgrade in my opinion!
hear for your self in the player above, actual recording from the vinyl!
Please note! I always add this disclaimer! I have given
my honest opinion when describing the audio quality of this album and
those who know the listings and vinyls that i sell my prime interest is
the audio quality! Please allow for the odd isolated static, but nothing
consistent through out the audio! This is a genuine (not) reissue vinyl
that is 50 years old and would have been played on a system that is 50
years old! Audio like new in my opinion.
Please note, this album has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 45 years or more. A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static\ crackle. A constant clean before each play is recommended. This will reduce any static and will enhance the audio quality. Points to note, I notice debrit on the playing surface after play so this will need cleaning before each play which will further enhance this audio quality.
The Labels
This is the original Decca 'Deep grooved' Unboxed Decca labels! A truly unique scarce copy in lovely condition, ''MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN''.! (UK PRESS ONLY)!
There
is little if (no) spindle ware (the hole is perfectly round) see
photo. Amazingly I can just barely see a minimal amoount of feint spider traces in strong light only, so rare to find
like this! (this has
obviously barely been played and certainly not overplayed in my opinion!
The Record Sleeve
This is the original Decca , poly lined record sleeve no edge splits or tears. (Correct for this pressing) Becoming fragile at the edges light creasing/staining/browning with age only. Where the sleeve has folded in the cover over time there is a color difference at the top left corner when the sleeve has faded over time. Please note, THIS IS THE ORIGINAL! The vinyl is always stored separately from the vinyl for protection. This is how I always store my records.
The Cover
This is the original UK issue James Upton printed cover with corrected un-pasted over, sleeve notes for "Blind Man" text at the rear! Super glossy a exceptionally clean! Unique rounded spine (only James Upton Cover)
There is no edge splits or tears! Any creases in the laminate are minimal at the bottom edge top edge and at the spine but nothing too bad. The cover is in general clean and very straight. There is a small indent at the bottom edge noticed if looked for. Rubbing/ ring wear is minimal only. The rounded spine is in nice condition and all text is readable. The rear is exceptionally clean, any fading/staining is also minimal with age again all text is readable. I would grade this cover at least excellent if not better in my opinion!
HOW I SEND MY RECORDS!
