This title is getting really collectible and absolute top grade copies are selling for $200 and upwards now for the mono two-eye. This copy is not far behind and the starting bid is half that, so if you have half a mind to acquire a copy and don't have extra cash to throw around, I seriously suggest you bid now on this one.

Vinyl is very glossy, very little used, there is only a touch of light wear. Grading Excellent or Very Fine by our scale here, it is what some people call a VG double plus. Short of a new copy you aren't going to make any practical improvement in sound and maybe not even then. Jacket is nice has only a little light wear, as you grade paper I would make it Fine.

Stamped as Demonstration Copy i.e. Promo on back cover at top right. I don't know if a white label edition was pressed for this release, they didn't always bother with one, in fact at Columbia in the sixties they didn't even often bother with one although you did usually get a title strip across the front which this doesn't have. So for a promo collection this might be what you get. Does suggest at least an early copy off the master stamper so with the clean mono mix you aren't going to find stronger sound for this recording. So don't miss out.

Grading of LP record albums:

Mint: Not part of our vocabulary in general, but would refer to a sealed unopened record.
Near Mint: Looks brand new.
Near Mint minus: Perhaps one or two tiny blemishes.
Very Fine plus: Very close to new, appears to have been played possibly two or three times.
Very Fine: Still close to new and only slightly used, a few faint marks or sleeve scratches. Only if the music level is soft is it possible to hear a hint of surface static.
Very Fine minus: Surface blemishes no worse than for VF but a few more of them.
Very Good plus: Light scratches possible but nothing even close to bad.
Very Good: May have a number of light scratches but still nothing bad. Moderate surface static can generally be heard during the music but does not interfere with it. note: Few record albums made in the 50's or 60's actually play any better than VG or VG+ regardless of their appearance.
Very Good minus: The surface noise rivals the music but does not exceed it.
Good plus: No awful scratches but will have a lot of them. Surface noise has overtaken the music.
