On offer is a 1971 LP by URIAH HEEP called SALISBURY on VERTIGO, catalogue number 6350028.
From the sleeve-notes: “This, our second album, is a sincere exposure of our progression and we await your judgement. Thanks again to everyone and more for the chance to make this record and we are already looking ahead to the next one.”
Salisbury, and the debut …Very ‘Eavy, Very ‘Umble, were the only Heep LPs issued on the collectable Vertigo label. Both were re-issued on Bronze when the band moved to the label shortly afterwards. Sadly, Salisbury lost its gatefold sleeve, with a black and white image of a WWI tank on the inside. This is the original with the gatefold sleeve.
Condition of the vinyl is VERY GOOD. Obviously a well-loved copy, there are visible surface marks and surface noise throughout. This is drowned out in the heavy bits but mars enjoyment of the quiet bits. The gatefold sleeve is EXCELLENT MINUS, with no writing or major defects, just a little wear around the edges. Labels – the famous swirl/spiral labels – are clean. It comes in the original poly-lined swirl inner, which has no writing but is a little brown around the edges.
Matrix numbers are 1Y x 1 and 2Y x 1.
We await your judgement.
