At ClassicsToday.com one can find the following review of these remarkable performances:
"While Ivo Pogorelich established his reputation performing mainly Romantic repertoire, his few forays into the Baroque reveal him to be an equally engaging- if not eccentric musician here as well. In quicker movements, such as the opening Preludes of the English Suites for instance Pogorelich's rhythmic control and contrapuntal clarity are simply amazing. Slower movements likewise are handled with remarkable intensity and delicacy."
The head of production for this album was Hanno Rinke, while the recording supervisor and balance engineer was Karl-August Naegler. There are superlative liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket by Peter Cossé, printed in English, German, French, and Italian. The striking cover portrait of Pogorelich was taken by Reinhart Wolf.
CONDITION – PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is VERY GOOD. There is edgwear and light creasing. However, there are no seamsplits, owners’ markings, or other defects, and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and attractive – overall, a very good collector’s copy.
The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT and playback is superb – overall, this is a lovely collector's copy.
