"A lost world of solo electronic exploration" (Ben Thompson MOJO)
Rumours circulated over many years concerning this lost electronic work. However, it was only very recently unearthed by author, cultural commentator & CTR collaborator Jon Savage. After all this time then, CTR is proud to present a real, re-discovered seminal 1976 synth/electronic work from the synthpop pioneer. Dating from the period before “Homosapien” this album is at the root of Pete Shelley’s journey toward his later solo electronic works .
As Jon Savage suggests of this time “There was also a quieter shift: artists who were exploring the outer limits of synthesizer and primitive programmed technology in an attempt to extend their range and to please themselves”.
