One of the classic Blue Note recordings and a bible for bassists. Donald Byrd, John Coltrane, Kenny Burrell, Horace Silver and Philly Joe Jones, just an immortal band.  I believe this is a first pressing with the 47 West 63rd address on both side 1 and side 2 labels, "BN-LP-1534-A and "B" etching, "ear" etching, and "RVG" hand etched. The record itself was last played years ago and played fine. There is a 1" scuff on the side 1 record label. There are no gouges or scratches you can feel. It is 165 grams and should play alright on the correct turntable. It is a library copy I obtained 40 years ago(my mother worked in the library) and it has been stored safely for the past 40 years. The jacket has been divided and covered in library plastic so the record has been well protected. The cover may be re-storable to one piece since it is complete and present. As collectors know, this is a very scarce record. Oddly enough when this was recorded, as a child I lived only a couple of miles from where this was recorded. Just a great record !
