RECORD CONDITION

Some records I only check by eye - particularly boxed sets that I would need to play for hours to check every groove.

However, when I do listen to records, or inspect them under a halogen lamp, I NEARLY ALWAYS FIND FAULTS - so I suggest that some imperfections are unavoidable for almost all vinyl records, particularly when they are between 40 and 70 years old.
I therefore expect buyers to accept such minor faults - audible and/or visible - unless I grade a record as Mint, and even then there will usually be the occasional light tick, if only caused by static.

However, I only want satisfied customers and do my best to describe records fairly.  If you find a significant fault that I missed and failed to describe, please contact me for a refund. 

I only use a 'Mint' grading for records I believe are new.

'Excellent ++' is for records that seem hardly played.
'Excellent +' comes next, then 'Excellent'

I often do not give gradings. This is because some records would need THREE different gradings to describe them:- One grading for how they SOUND, another grading for how they LOOK, and another grading for how much I think they were played by previous owners. I therefore describe such records rather than grading them, particularly if I think they may sell for high prices.
