RECORD CONDITION
The real-ness of the piano sound and the playing on these records are wonderful, with generally quiet backgrounds. But, as always, there are some flaws - as described below, though my ears and equipment may not have revealed exactly the same flaws as may be found by someone else.

CSD 1343 test pressing

RECORD ONE: A shallow scuff in band one is completely silent. There are light vinyl sounds at times but no significant problems.
RECORD TWO: There are 2 light ticks, then 3 more in band one - then 2 separate ticks in band four.  A shallow scuff - or perhaps it is a pressing fault - creates some light background noise during about a third of band five, though I do not think it is serious.

RECORD THREE: Some occasional background sound but no significant problems. RECORD FOUR: There are three long hairline scratches though the record plays beautifully for the first three bands. But then, if I stand close to the speakers, I can hear surface noise for the last two bands, particularly the very last one - band five - though if I sit in my usual listening position it becomes unobtrusive and I mainly hear the music. In other words, some listeners might not even notice this level of surface noise - yet if I were the buyer I would be annoyed not to have been warned about it.
