Missy Elliott - This Is Not A Test Missy Misdemeanor Elliott & Timbaland
Condition is New. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
Hello, thanks for looking. I'm no expert on grading vinyl, i'll try my best to evaluate the condition of both the cover and the album. I'll use the grading scale below as a guide and i'll be very conservative with my evaluation.
You are bidding on a used copy of Missy Elliotts album "This Is Not A Test". This is the original pressing released in 2003 under Elektra.
Executive Producers: Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott for Mass Confusion Productions Inc. and Timbaland for Timbaland Productions, Inc.
Label: 62905-1
Matrix / Runoff: ST-E-62905 A1
CONDITION:
The Jacket / Sleeve: I'm hoping the pictures can speak for the grade, i'd say its a VG. Sold, still very stiff, Has NO Seam Splitting, No writing anywhere, Some tiny bends and creases along the spine, No cut-out (drill) holes, No cut-out corners, No saw-marks, There are a few tiny dings and nicks, The corners are in good shape but you can see the wear on them. The front has friction marks or burn caused by rubbing against other covers and also record ring (see photo's). No yellowing from aging, No stickers, No tape, No water damage. The spine is in good shape and the print is very well centered.
Inner Paper Sleeve: It's the original paper record sleeves. You can see the photo its in perfect shape! The album "picture insert" is in great condition!!!
The vinyl: I’d have to guess it would be VG+. The record looks great, few minor surface scratches but plays very clean.
* Note- You can see in the photo that side 1 and 2 has a tiny bit of scotch tape in the center hole. I'm sure theres a way to remove it but i'm not going to try, because I don't want to risk damaging it. I'll leave that up to the buyer.
Thanks for looking, please message me with any questions!
Grading Scale
Mint (M): Perfect, unused in sealed original packaging.
Near-Mint (NM): Close to perfect with no visible scratches or scuffs. Appears to be un-played or played less than 5 times.
Excellent (EX): May contain very light surface scratches and/or scuffs. Label and jacket may show slight signs of ring-wear / lightly bent corners. No creases, writing, tears or rips.
Very Good Plus (VG+): May show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took reasonably good care of it. Imperfections are cosmetic and do not drastically impact the playback. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs and surface scratches. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are ok. The label and jacket may have some slight ring-wear, discoloration, minor tears and imperfections. As with most vinyl, there may be low-level surface noise and light crackles and pops may be present, especially during quiet or soft passages in the track.
Very Good (VG): Many of the imperfections found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record or sleeve.
Good (G) - It doesn't mean the record is "Trashed" but its definitely been played a lot. I'll mainly use this for jackets and inner sleeves (if the record is worth selling).
Fair (F) Poor (P): I do not sell Poor (P), Fair (F). If I use these it's because the album is super rare.
Disclaimer : I’m really new at selling on E-bay so please excuse my inexperience and lack of knowledge when it comes to collecting and selling vinyl. I do not grade LPs and I am not an expert on classification. Most of the vinyl I own, I bought in bulk at yard sales or estate sales. Ask Me Questions before bidding! Please understand, I’m grading my LPs on a visual estimation. Keep that in mind, because if you bid or buy this album, i’m selling it as is! Therefore All Sales Are Final! If you’re really interested in this LP and you think the description / photo’s are missing something… Message Me! Ask questions, I will answer honestly, I will send more photo’s, maybe even a video if you want. I'm not trying to scare away a potential customer, I'm just saying, please consider everything I said before asking for a refund. Look, there is some risk when buying used 30 - 60 year old, pre owned, vinyl… together we can cut down on that risk even eliminate it! Thanks for looking!!!
