Here's a great Gift Idea! Yancey Yancey ¤NEW!¤ This hard-to-find LP Record is new, factory sealed, and guaranteed against manufacturer's defects! ¤NEW!¤
This album was released in a small batch by a very small label - Northern Light - which is not surprising. Major labels want albums that are all rock or all blues or all jazz, because they're easier to sell that way. Style-wise, this album by Yancey is all over the place, with one track being perfectly good, radio-friendly pop and the next one pure jazz, followed by a hippie-folk song and then a groovy, funky blues number. Overall, it plays like the first Blood, Sweat & Tears album - the Al Kooper one, "Child is Father to the Man" - and if you like that record, you'll like Yancey! (Williamson Valley News-Observer)
