Decca SXL 2154 ED1 'Original Recording By' 2E/3E - Strauss - Also Sprach Zarathustra - Karajan, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
Cover: EX(+); sticker residue
Vinyl: NM; see below
This record comes from a lady who worked back in the days in a record shop in South Africa. Part of her remuneration was some 'free' records every month. Many have not been played at all, others only very sparse. Those 'unplayed' or sparsely played records I shall rate NM or NM-, others according to their condition and reason why. All covers have been categorised - hence the sticker residue on the top left corner. Removing of this I leave to the new owners.
I've been trading for almost 19 years under the ID of jpditmarsch(1101). Throughout these years I've always had a 100% score (I never received a single negative feedback) and mostly 5.0 scores (but never below 4.9) on 'Item as described' / 'Communication' / 'Shipping Time' / 'Shipping charges'. Reason for closing this account is because I've decided to make selling on eBay a genuine business for the next 10 years
I grade visually and (partly) play grade whenever in doubt. Stereo issues on a Linn LP12 with a Lyra Delos cartridge. Mono issues on a Thorens TD135 with a General Electric VRII cartridge; please be aware that this is a true mono Variable Reluctance cartridge, thus playing with a minimum of groove noise and hardly picking up any imperfections that these older mono records frequently have
As I don't have my own professional cleaning equipment, I consider (and recommend) this to the buyer. In my experience records easily gain a grade with professional cleaning
Payment: worldwide - PayPal
Shipping in new solid custom made LP cardboard
Standard Postage:
Less than 2 kg (average up to 6 records): Europe $15; outside Europe $30
Due to an increasing amount of 'non-delivery' parcels in the past, I have no other option than to send with 'Registered - Track & Trace' services only. No exceptions anymore unfortunately, unless you will explicitly wave my responsibility regarding non-delivery. Records over $500 will only be send insured
Finally: in case you don't agree with my ratings or have any other issue with my listing, please contact me and we shall work it out. I will give full refunds (item price + shipping costs), however the shipping costs for sending the item back is for the buyer unless I have made a significant mistake.
