Gun's self titled debut is so brilliant, diversified and ahead of its times that it's impossible and maybe even pointless to encapsulate using strict genre definition. Psychedelic hendrixesque guitars, enthralling drummings a-la Kate Moon, pop rock melodies that sound like the Beatles but seems to anticipate Stardust's Bowie and even the Garage Rock anthems of the new millennium, symphonic arrangements that do not overlay the songs like prog rock would do but drive them nicely and joyfully and hard rock passages that forecast the Led Zeppelin and even the Iron Maiden to come (not to mention one of the best "heavy metal" LP cover of all times). Gun’s mix is not always perfect and could sound confuse at times but this album is without any doubts  one of the hidden gems of the late 60s.
