The Residents ~ "The King & Eye"

US Promo

A compilation of Elvis covers.

This is a promo pressing of the album issued in an Enigma company sleeve with the hype sticker. This was sent to a radio station where they scratched out the tracks they didn't want to play on the label track list and the hype sticker. The station also affixed their in-house notes and filing sheet to it, along with some more scribbles here and there. Personally, I think this ADDS to it. The notes are kind of funny - "Bizarre but Wonderful" on the hype sticker, and some other remarks. Unique.

Note that the vinyl itself is slightly transparent - you can see light pass through if you hold it up to a light source. It's not a clear see-through, but it is not solid opaque black like a typical record. A lot of Enigma promos were pressed on high-quality vinyl like this - or so I understand this to be the case.

Condition:
Vinyl: Looks and sounds fantastic. Probably played less than 5 times. VG++
Sleeve: Enigma company sleeve with the hype sticker. Radio station scratched out tracks, wrote stuff, and added a "remarks" note to the cover, so the sleeve is not in mint shape, but I think this adds some unique charm to the release.
Label: Radio station also scratched out some titles on the label

So, pen marks everywhere, but overall a really cool release with the vinyl being in top notch shape.

NOTE: No Refunds. Sold As-Is. I am not a dealer.  I am selling items from my personal collection. All items are used unless noted otherwise. Grading is based on the guidelines as provided by eBay's "Record Grade Details" web page (see link below).  I thoroughly inspect each item, provide several photos, and describe the items I sell as best as possible. I spot check all LPs, Cassettes, and CDs but I can't listen to every album all the way through. Albums are played back using a high end stylus and I play the roughest looking spots to provide an accurate report on the sound quality and noise. Used vinyl will have varying degrees of noise, pops, and clicks beyond my control. All sales are final. No Refunds. Contact me with questions.
