Here's a great Gift Idea! Little Royal Jealous ¤NEW!¤  This hard-to-find LP Record is new, factory sealed, and guaranteed against manufacturer's defects!   ¤NEW!¤

They call him "Mr. Jealous" or sometimes "Soul Brother No. 2". Although he doesn't aspire to the latter, he does try harder. That's Little Royal and Dynamo No. 1 he is!

For many talented black kids, it's a predictable jump from ghetto or country church to the recording studio but Royal definitely didn't have on seven league boots. He's had a record or two - never anything on a national scale - and he's always been able to work steady. Those one nite "gigs" that stars are made of. But it took a suggestion from Leroy Little, long time national promo man and one who has seen many an artist born and then made, to producer Huey Meaux, who has seen many an artist made (by him), that Royal deserved a listen. Huey did listen and liked. The result was a session and Little Royal's record of Jealous. It was an instant hit and suddenly Royal was a blues VIP.

This is his first LP and one that runs the gamut, putting across a heady blend of styles. From Razor Blade, a driving instrumental in the vein of the 50's featuring tenor man Andrew Simms, to "That's My Desire" where you can hear rumors of greatness, "Another Woman's Man" pushes across some down to earth lyrics with a band drive featuring some of Nashville's top studio musicians playing completely out of their element and loving it. On "I Surrender", Hal Neely, King President and producer of the Nashville sides (which also includes the great gospel flavored "I'm Glad To Do It") pulled in the Memphis rhythm cats to further the 70's R & B Sound.

All in all, here you have an LP with undulating bursts of music caught between unfolding lyrics that don't smack of endless rehearsal. Little Royal has a style - and one to be reckoned with.
