Up for grabs here is one final Christmas lot of records, mostly for children. These records are on both colored and black vinyl, and vary in speed. You'll receive:
Why the chimes rang (story by Raymond MacDonald Alden; read by Ted Malone, with Dick Leibert at the organ at Radio City Music Hall) RCA Victor Records WY-357 (2) Released ca. 1949. This is a "double single" package, with two changer-sequenced yellow vinyl singles included in a gatefold sleeve. This belonged to my grandaunt, Verna Sisk. Record VG+ -- light wear and fairly gentle handling here. Jacket VG+ -- looks very nice overall, with some minor edgewear present. There is also a tape label present with the name "Sisk" written on it, on the front.
The Story of the Nativity (narrated for children by David Ross) Peter Pan Records X-9 Released 1956. 7", 78 rpm record for children on vinyl. Record VG, with moderate but normal surface wear present for records of this vintage and speed. Jacket VG, with some light tattering along the open edge, and creasing on the envelope from the record itself.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Raindeer (as told by Paul Wing) RCA Victor Records WY-353 Released ca. 1949. This is a "double single" package, with two changer-sequenced yellow vinyl singles housed in a single sleeve. I have added individual 7" sleeves for each record, to provide protection when those are slid in together. Records VG, due to occasional fingerprints. The fidelity here is still quite nice. Jacket VG+, with a name written in ink on the front cover, but otherwise light wear for its vintage.
Little Red Riding Hood's Christmas Tree b/w Suzy Snowflake Columbia Records MJV 4-123 Released 1949. 7", 45 rpm single performed by Rosemary Clooney and the Tony Mattola Orchestra. Record VG+, with light wear and excellent sonics for its age. Jacket VG, with creasing along the top edge and along the bottom corners.
Jingle Bells Peter Pan Records PP 1039 Released ca. 1975. 7", 45 rpm single of typical holiday cheese from our good friends at Synthetic Plastics of Newark, N.J. (read: yet another commercial product. Charlie Brown was right...) Record VG- to VG, due to surface noise, especially on side 2. There are some surface marks present from handling, but I also suspect this record wasn't especially well-pressed or mastered (not for 39 cents a copy, at least). Jacket VG+, with very minor creasing present around the record.
Silent Night Peter Pan Records PP 1041 Released ca. 1975. 7", 45 rpm single. Pretty much matches exactly what I had to say about the last item like this! Record plays G+ on side 1, and F on side 2 due to prevalent scratches and at least one skip. Jacket VG+. It's instructive that the packaging has held up better than the record or its material!
The Littlest Reindeer RCA Victor Records R-1019 Released ca. 1949. 7", 78 rpm record on red vinyl. Included in a sleeve that has a completed connect-the-dots drawing of a (you guessed it) reindeer. Record VG, with pretty standard surface noise for an item of this vintage. Plays just fine. Jacket F, due to a tear in the upper right front region, plus masking tape across another tear on the front, and other scuffs present. The sleeve seems to be held together with masking tape along its edges, perhaps to fashion it to hold the record in place.
Shipping costs $3.33 for this lot, and I do combine shipping for multiple purchases. Happy bidding!

"Quality items at reasonable prices from an eccentric merchant!"
As a math teacher and long-time record buyer with a definite passion for both vocations, I am excited to continue to make available LPs I have collected over the last twenty years but now need to winnow from my shelves. The items I will be posting include quite a range of genres and interests -- soundtracks, specialty records, and albums ranging from the typical mainstream to the unexpectedly weird. Check back often to see what surprises I've got in store!
Please note my conditions of sale:
-I use Goldmine standards to rate my albums, and I seek to do so conservatively. Items will often receive both a visual check and a playgrade, so that I can review the material one last time and also listen for any differences between audible quality and my visual perception of an album's surface. If there are any potential flaws in an item, I will make sure you know about those upfront. As a rule, I will not attempt to sell records that rate below VG for the total package (unless the item in question is rare or hard to come by). Because I deal largely in used stock and will be thorough in explaining an item's condition, please note that all sales are "as is" and final - returns are not accepted.
-I ship through USPS services to destinations in the U.S. only. All records will be packed sturdily with quality outer cardboard, with records and innersleeves removed from jackets to avoid seam splits on used items. Because of the demands of my work schedule, shipments typically go out twice a week, by Wednesday (for albums paid for during the previous weekend) and by Saturday (for all later payments). Whenever possible, I crank out shipments faster than this, so rest assured you'll get your order quickly.
-Be sure to make payment immediately when using Buy It Now. If you win one or more of my auctions, please make sure items are paid for within 7 days of the listing's end. Please note that I open failure-to-pay cases in situations where a buyer does not pay or make any attempt to communicate with me within my stated timeframe. Please do not bid or commit to buy if you don't intend to follow through with a payment.
-Shipping will be at cost to the buyer, through Media Mail. I charge a starting fee of $3.33 for one album, then 53 cents per each additional LP in your order.
-I will always be willing to combine shipping on multiple wins/purchases. Just make sure to request an invoice prior to completing your purchase.
-A word to the wise on how I consider best offers: I often accept offers up to 30% below the listing value for my items. Please avoid lowball offers!
-The bottom line: I will make every attempt to insure your satisfaction as my customer. Let me know of any problems prior to posting negative or neutral feedback, as this will help me to refine my services and better serve my fellow record collectors out there. Enjoy!
