Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE: "PORTRAIT OF LEDA" ARTIST: Leda Annest and Phil Moore LABEL: Columbia Adventures in Sound WL 114 Mono Pressing CONDITION: JACKET - Excellent(Jacket has light overall wear; top seam is split about halfway from opening - Please see actual album photos) VINYL - Near Mint(Vinyl glows with vitality - Graded using special daylight balanced spotlight)
SPECIAL FEATURES: Beautiful and rare, this great "Portrait of Leda" album personifies the best in Space Age Pop talent blending, combining the arranging and conducting talents of Phil Moore with the wordless stirring vocalizations of the Leda Annest. Made in '58, this is a classic Columbia clear deep-groove MONO "Adventures in Sound" recording, filled with surprise and delight for the listener.
TRACKS: Please refer to the jacket photos and other informational sites for the complete track listing. Thanks so much.
OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
