This auction is for an incredibly rare white label vinyl 12” test pressing of the debut MOGWAI ep 4 Satin, released on Chemikal Underground in 1997.
I do not know how many of these test pressings exist, but it is the only one i have ever seen out in the wild. Typically, there may be 10 - 20 test pressings made, perhaps more. Suffice to say this is a rare piece of MOGWAI and SCOTTISH MUSIC HISTORY.
I purchased this wonderful rarity from a former work colleague whom is a long time friend of the band.
Given the rarity of this item, please be aware this may not come around again on eBay for a long time, if ever.
The run-out grooves are etched with CHEM015A2 and CHEM015B2 respectively.
Condition is very good. The item itself is very “no frills” here, but i can confirm the vinyl plays great and the disco bag remains whole.
No visible or audible damage to the vinyl playing surfaces. A few very light minor scuffs that come with 23 years of shelf wear. Grading VG+ from me, but your own mileage may very.
