[Original] John Coltrane Giant Steps Atlantic 1311 Mono NM/VG+. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
Cover graded as Near Mint due to its almost perfect nature. One small tear at bottom (pictured)
Vinyl graded as Very Good + due to the very small hairline scratches on the record (particularly Side 2) but the scratches hardly, if at all, effect the playback.
This record has been cleaned with a MW-1 Cyclone RCM and play tested on a Technics SL-D2 with no audible skips and little to none surface noise.
The cover is stored in a 3 mil sleeve while the record is stored in a protective paper sleeve and both the stored cover and record are packaged in a 4 mil sleeve to top it all off. It doesn't get much more protected than this.
As a former record store employee this record is a part of my personal collection and will make the knees of any wannabe jazz collector tremble. 
Recorded in 1959 and released in 1960, “Giant Steps” is iconic in part because it contains the first-issued recording of one of Coltrane's most important compositions, also titled “Giant Steps.” It is also significant because it was Coltrane's first LP to be released that was comprised solely of his own compositions.
