Comes in a not-laminated gatefold sleeve with textured dark grey inner song sheet. Some, if not all, copies came in a large clear plastic sleeve with 'Led Zeppelin' printed in the upper left corner and the Atlantic logo in the lower right.

This release was commonly referred to as 'Led Zeppelin IV', to follow in sequence with their previous three releases, but no actual title appears on the release.
