Research: Grateful Dead only released four albums on their own Grateful Dead Records label. This was the first of the four. It’s a terrific album that has elements of blues, psych rock, and a significant jazz influence. This was one of the band’s most commercially successful albums and it also realized tremendous critical acclaim. This album was released on Grateful Dead Records in 1973, number GD-01.
