Minor surface scratches do not diminish sound quality. Live recording of Tatum's performance at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles in May 1949. I use Premium Quality mailers (No polybags). I encase the records in clear vinyl protective outer sleeves reinforced with two cardboard inserts to safeguard the records in the mail. I listen to all of my records before grading. None of this grading by visual sighting only.
