This is Metallica’s breaking-point-to-the-mainstream, critically acclaimed 3rd album Master of Puppets. Considered by some (opinions) to be the greatest heavy metal album of all time. This album threw Metallica straight to the top of the thrash metal realm. Reaching #29 on the Billboard 200, this album sent critical acclaim not only from the metal press, but mainstream as well. Metallica finally got some notice after a few years of being in the industry, but it wouldn’t come without a cost. Finally after 6 months on tour, tragedy finally struck. Anthrax was touring with them on this tour leg and suggested to their friends to leave early tonight (9/25/86) with them, but declined and said their farewells. On the early morning of Sep 26, 1986, in Stockholm, Sweden, Metallica were planning on traveling later into town to the next gig to catch rest. But instead, their bus ended up in a horrible crash, killing only bassist Cliff Burton and stopping the tour shortly only to get someone to fill in on bass and resume tour. This album was certified 6x platinum by the RIAA. There is obvious ring, corner and edge wear on the jacket. There is also a little bit of spine wear shown in pictures. There are also creases pictured in photos and there might be others I may have missed. Jacket is VG- VG+. Vinyl is VG+ - EX. If you have any questions, just ask. Will ship with USPS Priority Mail.
