Here is a NICE BOX SET for the collection of the high bidder in this auction:

THE CONCERT FOR BANGLA DESH by George Harrison & Company (Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, Ringo Starr, Klaus Voorman, Badfinger, and Ravi Shankar)

This is Apple Records STCX – 3385.

This is a FIRST PRESSING of this APPLE RECORDS BOX SET! How do I know? Because the initial boxes have an orange interior (both lid and bottom). Second pressing boxes have a white interior.

This 3-record box set has custom Apple labels.

This box set was issued December 20, 1971.

The box set contains:

Textured Box with lift-off (unattached) lid that holds the contents

3 Vinyl LPs

3 tan textured paper inner sleeves

64-page color booklet

This concert is historic, as it was the FIRST BENEFIT ROCK CONCERT, and it brought together many great talents to raise money to aid the starving population of Bangla Desh.

It has MANY GREAT CUTS on the LPs of the live concert performances including the following:

By George Harrison: Something, Here Comes the Sun, Bangladesh, My Sweet Lord, Wah-Wah, Awaiting on You All, Beware of Darkness, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

By Bob Dylan: A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall, It Takes a Lot to Laugh/It Takes a Train to Cry, Blowin’ in the Wind, Mr. Tambourine Man, and Just Like a Woman.

By Ringo Starr: It Don’t Come Easy

By Billy Preston: That’s the Way God Planned It

By Leon Russell: Jumpin’ Jack Flash/Youngblood

Ravi Shankar: One side is devoted to Indian music (sitar)

The TEXTURED BOX itself is in NICE VG CONDITION. The EXTERIOR FRONT of the lid with the child’s image has light overall wear (please refer to images.) that includes light smudges/soiling on the right edge of the lid, a small light stain at the bottom right corner, small light smudge at the lower left corner, and a few very small stains/spots on the side of the lid where the LP tile and catalog number are printed. The EXTERIOR BOTTOM of the box has some small smudges on the bottom edge and near the lower right and left corners. There are also a few small small stains near the top center edge of the bottom of the box. The BOX (lid and bottom) HAS NO CORNER SPLITS. Quite often these box sets have corner splits. Sometimes they are even flat when all or almost all of the corners are split.

The VINYL (all 6 sides) is in NEAR MINT CONDITION with just a stray light/surface hairline/scuff here and there.

The 3 TAN TEXTURED INNER SLEEVES are included and are in NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION (NM-) with just light signs of handling. THEY HAVE NO SPLITS and NO TEARS.

The 64-PAGE BOOKLET is INCLUDED. It is in VERY STRONG VG+ to WEAK NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION with just very light signs of handling. There are no cut-outs, no pages missing, and all pages are fully attached to the staples in the center.

A GREAT 1st PRESSING OF THE GEORGE HARRISON BOX SET OF THIS LEGENDARY CONCERT in VERY NICE CONDITION TO ADD TO YOUR VINYL COLLECTION!!!
