Hi! You're looking at a SUPERB and virtually FLAWLESS condition LP which is EXTREMELY RARE and hard to find and a wonderful 1973 Children's Album featuring ten songs that teach about the earth, science, and natural phenomena written and performed by "Mr. Science," JOSEPH DI CERTO, Science writer and frequent contributor to "The Mike Douglas Show" and "The Today Show"--the album is titled "My Favorite Planet: Sounds From Mr. Science--Joe Di Certo." The LP is on the Educational Activities, Inc. label in Freeport, NY and a 1st PRESSING Stereo album with the serial number AR 548--it was pressed in the United States in 1973.
This is an album which contains ten songs about the planet on which we live. The songs were especially written for children not only to enjoy and sing along with, but also to impart to them some fundamental ideas about the science of our everyday world. the ten songs in the album have been arranged with repeating choruses to make the main theme and essence of the idea easier to remember. The tunes are also simple and catchy so the children will find themselves humming the songs long after they have heard the record.
The ten songs include "My Favorite Planet," "Mechanical Advantage," "Gravity," "Electricity," "Energy," "Flying," "Water," "Weather," "Sunshine," and "Pollution."
This LP is in SUPERB and virtually FLAWLESS condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT condition with NO imperfections and should play beautifully; the deluxe gatefold cover is also in NEAR MINT condition with slight dings on the tips, a clean 1 inch split on the lower right edge of the (non-opening) front gatefold and just slight shelfwear otherwise but NO other significant flaws--it's NOT a cutout!
